I spend a lot of money every month for my key inventory and recently started using Locksmith Keyless more. I sent my tax exemption form in and the very next order was still charged tax. I left a voicemail with Daniel Gomez and never received a call back. A few days later called and spoke to customer service and was told that they would get the tax exemption set up and would refund the taxes charged on that order and that they would call me back to update me. I wait 2 days and call back and am notified that I can’t be refunded the taxes I was incorrectly charged and that if I wanted tax exemption for future orders that I would have to call and manually give the order to someone which wouldn’t be that big of a deal but their inability to return a call or help a customer is what lost my business. I always thought that UHS was the bottom of the barrel but at least their customer service is 5 times better than Locksmith Keyless. Locksmith Keyless will never get another dollar from me.

Do not shop here unless you want to pay extra for shipping protection that auto adds itself to your ticket. If you want to have a pile of rules and exceptions to the ordering and returns process. This is your place. Oh ya, did I mention that the customer service is aweful, unless you like bots.

I attempted to order a Hyundai Santa Fe flip key three times from Locksmith Keyless and each time they sent the wrong item--a key fob without the flip key. The first time I thought I made a mistake and tried to return the item, but I waited past 30 days to return it.I ordered the item again and they sent me the same thing. This time I attempted to make the return before the 30 days. They accused me of ordering the wrong item. I asked them to just send me the flip key and I would pay for it again, and the customer service rep said that it was "out of stock." Clearly, they did not have the flip key I had ordered. The were willing to accept a return but were going to charge me a 25% restock fee and make me pay the original shipping charges. I did not agree to these terms and told them I would leave them a negative review and file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office consumer fraud division, and they didn't respond.I ordered the flip key a third time from their website. This time I screen recorded it to prove that I didn't order something different. They again sent the key fob without the flip key.I don't recommending ordering from this company. If they make a mistake they try to blame the customer. Then they won't issue a full refund even though they made the mistake. Buyer beware!

I purchased an item I really needed in a timely manner for a valuable job that I was hired to do. I received the item with missing parts. I reached out to customer service/returns and someone from that department was suppose to be looking into the matter to get it resolved but so far nothing was resolved. I'm not sure whether or not the item is brand new or not because when I received it, it did not come in its originally package. Because of the missing items in the package I ended up losing a $800 engine control module cloning job. The customer did not want to wait any longer so she decided to not let me do the job anymore.

Horrible company don't waste your money! They send faulty keys that have buttons that don't work, sometimes the wrong keys because they don't bother checking the numbers in their stickers. You won't know that buttons on the key don't work until you pay to get it cut and programmed. At that point you are out a hundred bucks or so per key and you don't have a fully functioning key and the company will not reimburse you for their mistake. Instead they will charge you shipping both ways and restocking fees etc so at the end of the day it's not worth sending it back end you'll never get back the money you paid to get the faulty keys programmed and you'll never have a working set of keys.Response to owners baloney below: check out the pictures ... I ordered the right keys and the faulty one they sent me didn't have any FCC number on it ... you are wrong! I hope with all the complaints on BBB and everywhere else you have horrible reviews you lose business and get shut down. Stop blaming the customer when you don't do your job right!Go to a legitimate business!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

What Are Aftermarket Audi Keys?

Aftermarket Audi keys are third-party alternatives to the original keys produced by Audi. These keys are manufactured by independent companies and are designed to work with Audi vehicles. While they may mimic the functions of OEM keys, aftermarket versions can vary significantly in terms of quality, security features, and compatibility with advanced Audi systems.

As the demand for cost-efficient alternatives grows, aftermarket manufacturers are continually improving their designs to cater to modern Audis, making them a viable choice for many drivers.

The Modern-Day Advantages of Aftermarket Audi Keys

  1. Cost Effectiveness One of the primary reasons people choose aftermarket Audi keys is the significant cost savings they offer. OEM keys can be prohibitively expensive, particularly when purchased through an Audi dealership, with prices often exceeding £200. In contrast, aftermarket keys may cost as little as £50 to £100, providing a much more budget-friendly option.
  2. Customisation Aftermarket keys often come with customisable features, allowing drivers to personalise their keys with different materials, colours, or even enhanced durability. This added flexibility is something OEM keys rarely offer, giving aftermarket keys a unique edge for those looking for more aesthetic options.
  3. Availability and Innovation OEM keys often require lengthy wait times as they are usually ordered directly from Audi. Aftermarket keys, on the other hand, are readily available through online retailers and locksmiths. Additionally, some aftermarket keys are now self-programmable, allowing tech-savvy drivers to set them up independently, avoiding dealership fees.
  4. Sustainability Options Some aftermarket key manufacturers are exploring more eco-friendly materials and processes, which appeals to environmentally conscious consumers. This sustainability focus is another differentiator from the OEM options.

The Risks of Using Aftermarket Audi Keys for Modern Vehicles

  1. Security Concerns While aftermarket keys may be compatible with basic car functions, they may not offer the same level of security as OEM keys. Modern Audi vehicles are equipped with advanced encryption and transponder chips that protect against theft. Aftermarket keys may struggle to match these security features, leaving your car vulnerable.
  2. Compatibility with Advanced Systems Audi models features complex electronics, such as keyless entry, virtual cockpits, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Not all aftermarket keys are capable of integrating with these sophisticated systems, which could result in malfunctions or reduced functionality.
  3. Potential for Recalls or Software Updates Audi frequently updates the software for its vehicles, particularly in newer models. Aftermarket keys may require frequent reprogramming to stay compatible with these updates, which could prove inconvenient for drivers.
  4. Warranty and Resale Value Using an aftermarket Audi key could potentially void certain aspects of your vehicle’s warranty, particularly those related to security systems and electronic components. Additionally, buyers may be less inclined to purchase a vehicle that uses aftermarket parts, affecting the resale value of your car.

When Should You Consider an Aftermarket Audi Key?

While OEM keys are often preferred for their guaranteed compatibility and security, there are certain situations where opting for an aftermarket Audi key replacement is a more practical and cost-effective solution. For instance, drivers of older Audi models or those who have lost their spare might find it more economical to choose an aftermarket replacement car key. Additionally, if you only require a non-security-related key, such as a valet key, an aftermarket option could meet your needs without the higher price tag of an OEM Audi key replacement.

What to Look for in Aftermarket Audi Key Suppliers

When selecting a reputable supplier for aftermarket Audi keys, it is crucial to focus on several key factors to ensure you purchase a high-quality product. Start by checking customer reviews online, as these can provide valuable insights into the experiences of other buyers and help you identify reliable suppliers. Positive feedback regarding durability, performance, and customer service is particularly important. Additionally, pay attention to the quality of the materials used in the key, as this will help prevent issues such as cracking or premature wear. Lastly, ensure that the aftermarket key has undergone third-party testing for compatibility with your specific Audi model, especially if it needs to function with advanced security features. These steps will help you make a more informed and confident purchase.

For those who are tech-savvy, some aftermarket Audi keys can be programmed at home with the right tools. However, in most cases, it’s recommended to consult a professional locksmith to ensure the key is programmed correctly and works seamlessly with your vehicle’s systems.

While aftermarket Audi keys offer significant cost savings and customisation options, they come with potential risks, especially concerning security and compatibility with modern vehicles. It’s important to weigh these factors against your specific needs. For those who want professional guidance and a guarantee of quality, consulting a locksmith like UK Auto Locksmith can help ensure a smooth and reliable experience.
